Summer of ’72
Paperback
The companion piece to Springtime in London, Summer of ‘72, tells the tale of eighteen-year-old Jacob Stone. He is the only child of poultry farmers in Fremont, Nebraska. Though Jacob is resigned to the fact that he will probably be stuck working on the farm for the rest of his life, he wants to have one summer of fun before he toils the rest of his life away. When one of his classmates, Trish, shows a sudden interest in Jacob, things start to look up. Maybe she will be the one who will give him a summer to remember.
